This small 3 bedroom 2 bath cottage was so much fun to add finishes and furnishings to, because it was so small I knew I could make a real impact with some thoughtful design ideas. Starting with the white herringbone backsplash you see when you first walk into the home, I coordinated the grout with dark quartz countertop and finished it off with luxury stainless steel appliances. To add to the rustic cottage feel, I did a worn in wood tile look alike throughout the entire first floor, it added so much character to the home and we coordinating with that look by doing a feature wall of shiplap in the family room. The master bath I kept more calm and serene with some marble accents, on the floor and in the shower and did a fun marble mosaic band around the vanity. The kids bath, I made a little bit more fun and funky with distressed earth tone wood look alike tile to compliment the bold countertop on the vanity.
