Traditional and Glam

With this project, I went with a bright and airy look, I didn’t use white to achieve this look but a very light and subtle gray throughout. It acted as a neutral base to add a little bit of glam with the furnishings and fixtures, using chrome fixtures and finishes to match the stone and metal mosaic backslash in the kitchen gave a nice shimmer look to the kitchen but I grounded the more feminine look by using a soapstone like quartz to the countertops. To make the dining room look a little fancier next to the more informal family room, I put glass and chrome hutches to display beautiful dishware and serving pieces with a bright white dining room set. Moving upstairs in the home, I kept the furnishings more relaxed but juxtaposed this by doing more formal wainscoting on the walls to give the more formal and glam look, the end result was a great mix of traditional and glam without being too feminine.
